// Roxbourg joins the Swiss EdTech Collider to shape the future of professional higher education //
Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship has become a partner organization of the Swiss EdTech Collider to shape the future of professional higher education in Switzerland and around the world by building new education technology initiatives to support millions of people who do not have equal access to quality higher education and hence denied the opportunity to develop higher value skills.
Today the world is facing a series of crises - racism, sexism, and ageism - at a time where everyone is reminded of their mortality every day. So the question is simple - what can we do about it? And that opens up a whole series of possibilities and new questions: Do we have a better chance of addressing social, gender, or environmental equity if we possess higher value skills? Which skills have the biggest impact if you want to build sustainable ventures or companywide initiatives that address the root causes of racism, sexism, and ageism? What should be the method of teaching? What qualifications and skills should the teachers have? How can a professional education system complement the academic education system? Who should be responsible for accrediting the professionals? Where should the classes be held? How can the cost of education be decreased? Are tests really necessary? Can attendance and class participation during “live case studies” be the main criterion for earning credits and hence graduation? Can the entire venture team earn a “team degree”?
The quest to find better answers led the Roxbourg team to the Swiss EdTech Collider, where like-minded EdTech startups can meet and exchange expertise, knowledge, best practices as well as form co-operations or collaborations among themselves but also with external stakeholders. Roman Bruegger, Managing Director, Swiss EdTech Collider announced “We have recently added Roxbourg as a new partner organization of the Swiss EdTech Collider as we appreciate their motivation and innovative approach to establish a new methodology and technology for practice-focused, continuous blended education based on the principles of social, gender and environmental equity that aims to have a sustainable impact in education.”
This collaboration with Swiss EdTech Collider will help Roxbourg to launch a series of Public Dialogues to shape two powerful initiatives: Roxbourg HYPRLabs and the Roxbourg MBA+ Program. Roxbourg UrbanLabs is about combining real and artificial intelligence to turn any space in the world into a space of learning, business incubation, and acceleration. The objective of the 12-week Roxbourg MBA+ Program is to design the world’s toughest professional business education program for candidates with a masters or a Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience.
